VICTORIA LAVEZZARI
Victoria Lavezzari (b. 1992, Buenos Aires, Argentina) is an Argentine-Italian artist and architect based in Madrid. Fascinated by the challenge of replicating digital hues on canvas, she uses fluorescent acrylics and oils to translate digital color’s saturation and luminosity into paint. Distorted human figures are a recurring theme in her work, through which she explores the tension between dreams and nightmares.
Lavezzari earned a degree in Architecture from Universidad de Palermo in 2016. Before fully dedicating herself to painting, she spent nearly a decade working in 3D design, digital post-production, and graphic design, leading virtual event design projects for clients such as Paramount Pictures, TikTok, and the LA Rams.
Her creative process merges digital and traditional techniques: she photographs or generates subjects using AI, collages and distorts them in Photoshop, and reinterprets them on canvas.
In addition to her solo practice, Lavezzari is part of Era Vulgaris, a duo creating digital collages and satirical works through artificial intelligence and digital tools.
